Prop 8

So as it stands today in California: Majority and intolerance: 1, Minorities and basic civil rights: 0.

So California, who's next?

Prop 8 decision

So the California Supreme Court is going to render its decision on the validity of Proposition 8 on Tuesday, May 26th. Wouldn't it be ironic if they uphold it? California would be relegated to the position of being a backward state where the rights of a minority can be taken away by the desires of the majority. It opens up a whole new range of possibilities. The churches who apparently run California now could decide that woman are getting to uppity and revoke some of the rights they've fought for and won over the last few decades. Hey, whites are becoming a minority in that state, perhaps the Hispanics and the Blacks can decide to remove some of their rights -- after all they've gotten pretty big for their britches and now that they don't have the numbers to back them up, maybe turnaround is more than fair play.

If you won't defend the rights of all, you defend the rights of no one.

Think about it.
